News Crew Selected for 2010-11

Natalie B., our Editor-in-Chief, has her sights set on a productive year full of innovations. Natalie is in her first year as a member of Madison's State Award winning Lego League team, as well as a participant in the math PACT program. She is also involved in athletics and music. She is well received by the staff, and she looks forward to working closely with our staff.

Julian K., our News Editor, is a terrific writer, with talents beyond his years. He, too, is a member of the Award winning Lego League team. Julian produced and edited his own movie at the Discover Summer School. He also enjoys literature and sports.

Anthony K., our Technical Director, comes by his video and electronic talents naturally. He works at his church on electronic and visual presentation with his dad. Anthony is currently designing a portion of this year's Lego League robot, after a stand out 4th grade year. He will head an outstanding video editing department this year.

Jacob G., our Features Editor, is in his first year at Madison. He is an excellent writer and a participant in the math PACT program. Jacob likes sports, and is proficient in Tae Kwon Do. The features department redefined itself last year, and Jacob will help the features department grow this year.

Garet McG., our Sports Editor, is starting up a new department this year. He plays baseball and soccer as well as the school's intramurals, and he is interested in music. Garet also has filmed plenty of home videos for his parents. Inspired by last year's 'sports center,' he will help establish a sports department, new to 5Live!

This year's Video Editors are a diverse group. Kobe McF. is in his second year on the Lego League team. Sydni V. sings and dances with the famous Madison Blues Show Choir, and she is in Girl Scouts. Joel E. plays a variety of sports, was a participant in the math PACT program, and is very helpful on carpentry projects.

Katie McL., our Web Editor, is a very talented member of our staff. She participates on the Dance Team, violin, Girls Scouts, and she plays soccer as well. She sings at church, and she has performed solo for an audience. Katie is responsible for editing and formatting the news and broadcasts for this web site.

Our starting News Anchors are Lily P. and Kayla U., both talented students. Lily plays volleyball, is a member of the Girl Scouts and of our Madison Blues Show Choir. She also participates in the Belin Blank Gifted project and PACT, and in theatre camp. Kayla plays softball, dances regularly and also with Madison Blues, and was in the Primetime Talented program. She also is on the Student Council and is a member of the Girl Scouts.

Camera: Aijay D. plays many sports including football, basketball, and baseball. He is also co-hosting our sports report. Kendra W. performs in our Madison Blues Show Choir, and she also helps out with day care. Chanelle M. participates with the Dance Team, violin, and Madison Blues Show Choir.

News Reporter: Camryn S. performed the weather on the air with Justin Roberts, and she plays volleyball, cheerleading, and guitar.Tori T., Chyna W. Melanie H. dances locally, and she is a member of Madison Blues Show Choir, and violin.

Features Reporter: Marriah T. is a member of Madison's Student Council, as well as Girl Scouts. she also baby-sits and participates with Madison Blues Show Choir. Christian S. is our weather reporter this year. He excels in language arts and has attended the Discover Summer Program. He is a member of PACT, and the Lego League team. Dai'jon W., and Nick M. plays baseball, and he is involved in Scouts and wrestling.

Production Crew: Cody G. draws and writes comics, and he is active is TaeKwonDo. Caitlyn H., Jurnee R. participates in Dance Team, Lego League, guitar, violin, and Madison Blues Show Choir. Gabrielle V. ice skates, helps at church, and is a member of Girls Scouts and Madison Blues Show Choir.
