Good morning, and welcome to this week’s edition of 5 Live! News. I’m Sam . . .
. . . and I’m Maple. Good morning. It’s Friday, January 25th. This is our ‘snow edition’ because we finally got snow! And what is snow without snow pants! So kids, is it fun putting that snow gear on? To me, it’s not. (For me it is!)

Kids got to miss some school because of the snow. Last Friday we got out early since it was snowing. Then on Monday, the whole day was a snow day! Wasn’t that exciting when you found out you didn’t have school? I . . love. .that!

Our after-school EAA classes are still growing! But they are now full. We asked Mrs. Smith about the tech class. She said the kids just sent home a postcard that they made in class. They wrote a poem in ‘Wordel’, and made a picture out of the words. Next week they will use a program called ‘Tax-eedo.’ Great job, kids!

Next week will be the beginning of February. You know what that means? CiCi’s Pizza Night! Yes, it’s next Thursday evening. Let’s see who’s class shows up the most, and wins the pizza for lunch!

Hey, did you and your family come to our Family Game Night last night? We sure had a lot of people there. The cookies and milk were a good idea, too. Our reporter Heather asked Mr. Girdner how he thought it went. Here they are. (video)

Yay! Snow! (At least we kids like it.) Did you guys know that we were getting new sleds this year? What a surprise; they are so cool, aren’t they? Let’s thanks PTA and our teachers. Come on, give them a hand for all their support.

Mrs. Rose, our Librarian, reminds us that the book fair is coming up in February. Don’t you love the book fair? ( I do! ) Bring lots of money. . .

Do you like it when people call you names? Of course not. No one does. ( I don’t!) so the Golden Rule is . . . Treat others as you want to be treated.

. . . and I’m Ferb. We finally got to go outside for recess this week. We were stuck inside for a whole week. I bet all of you are dying to sled. Here’s Boomer with play-by-play on sledding with the Kindergarteners. (video)

OK, the Super Bowl is set; it’s the Patriots and the Giants. The Giants beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl in 2007. Remember? The Giants scored a touchdown with 35 seconds left in the game. The Patriots had a perfect 18-0 record, but lost 17 to 14.(video)

The Patriots want revenge on the Giants now. Will they get that revenge? Or will the Giants beat them again? That’s coming up next Sunday.
