News Crew Selected for 2009-10

 

Chandler 'Cheese' P. is our Editor-in-Chief this year. Not only did he 'nail' the interview, but he has shown great organizational skills. He has assumed the responsibility for handling all the stories, and keeps aware of all the goings on by the staff. He is always willing to lend a hand to any staff member, and he is prepared to make the decisions on the broadcasts.

Jonathan M. is Technical Director, the person in charge of all camera and editing equipment. He has already shown his ability to think quickly on his feet, ready to make decisions during the progress of the live show. Jonathan has a logical strength that will allow him to perfect his use of the audio and video components for the show. He will be instrumental in achieving our goal of voice-over news reports.

Chris 'Slowhand' M. is perfectly placed as News Editor. It may seem that playing guitar is his best talent, but one could argue that Chris is even a better writer. Completely confident in his own talent, Chris will be able to insert his own love for language into this year's news. He has a mature and dry sense of humor, and can captivate an audience in many ways.

Belle and Jasmine M.are our Features Editors. Belle is very creative and sings locally in the community, as well as for our own madison Blues Show Choir. Jasmine sings as well. She is also in Lego League, and was the recipient of a statewide award for top female teammate in First Lego League.

Mitchell G. and Erik P. are quite the technical pair as our Video Editors. Mitchell was one of the top robot programmers for the LegoMotion team. Erik is the son of an engineer, and a chip off the ol' block. Together they prepare all the footage for the show, and splice together the entire show when we can't broadcast live.

Connor R. (Hammy), Tayler R. (Dory), and Hailey (icarly) Anchor the news team each week. Billed as 'H D tv,' Hammy and Dory bring the news to Madison. Connor is quite talented in the language arts. Tayler is a natural entertainer, a singer, and our own master of ceremonies in class. She is also a state-meet swimmer in the community. Hailey is new to Madison this year, and has fit right in. She joined the anchor team mid-year.
