Overall in charge; works for Producer (Mr. C), sets production meetings once per week.
Works with department heads to assure all goals are being met, lunch on Monday.
May check, and help with, quality of all work, consults with Producer on personnel issues.
Selects which talent/camera in Friday’s show.
Runs through show Thursdays after school, sets order of show, cues production Friday morning.                                                                          
News Editor
News stories, works for Editor-In-Chief, deadline Thursday noon.
Meets Wednesday after school. Responsible for all news stories assigned, edited, and printed ready to read on air.
Coordinates camera person/on air talent. Lunch on Monday.
Edits or rewrites copy, grammar, suggests news ideas, refers to Mr. Girdner or Kim.

Technical Director
Responsible for all equipment, works for Editor-In-Chief, lunch on Monday.
Supervises video filming and editing. Lines up videos in correct order, coordinates show order with Editor-In-Chief Thursday.
Checks closed-circuit system prior to airing, operates tech. hub during show.
Runs through show Thursdays after school.

Features Editor
Films features, works for Editor-In-Chief, lunch on Monday.
Designs stories of interest to students, coordinates camera person/on air talent.
Recommends edits to Video Editors, Wednesday deadline.
Meets Wednesday after school.

Sports Editor
Films sports on campus, works for Editor-In-Chief, lunch on Monday.
Designs sports stories of interest to students, coordinates camera person/on air talent.
Recommends edits to Video Editors, Wednesday deadline. Finalizes material Wednesday after school.

Video Editor
Works for Technical Director, edits videos, adds effects and sound.
Informs Tech. Director which files are final product.
Logs each item filmed for disk, deadline Thurs. 2:00.
Meets Wednesday after school.

Web Editor
Meets with staff Monday lunch, works a week delayed from live broadcast.
Submits articles and video to website’s Webmaster, enters text onto page files for web.
Works for Producer, keeps jump drive for file movement.  Takes or copies pictures of news events for web page.

News Anchor
Reads news on the air, works for News Editor.
Rehearses news copy Thursday night for smoothest delivery.
Runs through show Thursdays after school.

News Reporter
Works for News Editor, writes copy for editing, cover beat each week.
Looks for news around school, interviews teachers and students.
Meets Wednesday after school.

Features Reporter
Coordinates with Editor and camera for on air reports; interviews students, teachers, films special interest stories on location.
Coordinates with camera person, works for Features Editor.
Meets Wednesday after school.

Camera Person
Films interviews and events on campus, works for Technical Director.
Coordinates with Features and News crews, coordinates with Tech. Director and Video Editors.
Films run-through Thursday after school, films show live Friday morning.

Office Staff
Works for Editor-in-Chief, completes assignments for various editors.
Helps with other jobs such as painting backgrounds/studio, delivering supplies.
Includes Runner, Assistant to Producer, Historian.

Permissions
Due to the addition of the online webcasts on the 5livenews.com, we are asking for specific permission to include students in the video. This applies to anchors and reporters specifically, but may include anyone working for the show that might be a part of the broadcast. This by no means has any weight on the hiring of a student, but simply with on-air personnel.
